After exploring Horse Head Rock on NSW's Sapphire Coast, my father and I returned to Kiama's Cathedral Rocks—an old favourite seascape location of ours. Scoping out the rocks and lighting in the evening, we were determined to visit again at sunrise on the higher tide.

We returned the following morning with waves crashing around the rocks, which formed ever-changing patterns as they flowed to and fro. With a small gap under the clouds on the eastern horizon, we were greeted to glowing colour spilling out from the striking Cathedral Rocks.
